Friends of The Baby Journey

Here are our local friends who offer great products and services for pregnancy and beyond. Enjoy!

Chapel Spa

We are the only independent Day Spa in Cheltenham since 2002, and one of the few spas near Cheltenham. With a Mediterranean-style interior, the spa is set in the peaceful and eclectic surroundings of a 19th century Chapel. Making a baby is a stressful business, both physically and mentally. It is the perfect time for a girl to check out of reality and into a relaxing spa! Chapel Spa’s Maternity Spa Treatments are a special programme of skin salvation to ensure your body is cared for during all stages of your pregnancy.

Move Chiropractor

Treatment during pregnancy is gentle and we use specific techniques to help alleviate pain and discomfort as well as encourage an easier delivery. Common reasons why they visit include: low back pain, pelvic pain, neck pain, leg pain and chest/rib pain. Hilary is also experienced in treating new born babies and children. Treatment consists of gentle spinal, cranial and visceral paediatric techniques. Hilary will explain the treatment process to you and talk through your child’s treatment plan.

Laura Duggal Coaching

As a mum myself, I understand the huge changes that take place when you become a parent, and how these changes may affect all areas of your life. I support my clients to adjust to their new life (whatever that may look like!) with confidence.

More Core Pilates

Postnatal classes can be joined 6 weeks after a normal delivery, or 12 weeks after a c-section, to allow your body to be ready to commence exercising safely. Bring your babies along to the class, whilst retraining your pelvic floor and core muscles, under the guidance of a physiotherapist.

Physiotherapy for Women

The Mummy MOT is a specialist post-natal assessment recommended for all women following delivery – whether 6 weeks or many years after. Already part of every new mother’s standard post-natal rehabilitation in France, trained specialists assesses the strength and function of the tummy and pelvic floor muscles to help prevent long-term childbirth related complaints using a restorative exercise programme to regain stability and optimal function.
